Your balance does not tell you what you have.
There is money in your account. But who has already paid, which invoice is still open, and which part is VAT? The amount does not tell you.
Every payment belongs somewhere. So your money is in the right place, and what you see on your home screen adds up.
What the program does with your payments
Five things you would otherwise work out yourself. This way you learn as you go where every payment belongs.
Import
Import your statement, in a few seconds
Download your statement in your online banking, for example every week or every month. Open the Bank screen and choose the file.
- A CAMT.053 or MT940 file from any major Dutch bank
- Also the CSV file from ING and Rabobank, the TAB file from ABN AMRO and the Boekhoudexport (bookkeeping export) from Knab
- If you import something twice by accident, it still counts only once
Invoices
Invoices marked paid by themselves
If your customer puts your invoice number in the description and the amount matches, that invoice is marked paid right away. So you always see who still has to pay.
- You do not have to do anything for it
- If the amount does not match exactly, you get a suggestion that you confirm with one click

Suggestions
A suggestion for every other payment
For the other payments the program looks for what belongs with them: a receipt, an invoice or your VAT. You say yes, or choose yourself.
- Hardware store14 October− € 48,40
This is: your receipt from the hardware store of 14 October
Private
Private, or not for your books
Private groceries paid from your business account? Or money that does not belong to your business? Mark it as Private or as Not for the books. Then it does not count for your VAT and your tax.
- Supermarket15 October− € 23,10
What is this?
VAT
Your VAT paid, your books back to zero
When you pay your VAT to the Belastingdienst, you link that payment to your return. Your VAT in your books is then back to zero, and your accountant sees it right away in the general ledger.
